Coalition works to expand broadband in Maine
A short news clip describes our situation well. We are fortunate in having good service in downtown Lubec, but the rest is questionable. We need to build on what we have and expand it to include all of Lubec in order to increase our full-time, working resident population. It even uses *my* "Bring your job with you" slogan. I think I should have obtained a copyright on that.
URGENT - Action Needed Now!
Net Neutrality war continued...
Although the FCC voted 3-2 to repeal the Net Neutrality rule, the war still rages. Several states are suing the FCC and, we hope, many more will join in. I'm happy to see that Maine is among them. A movement - "Resolution of Disapproval" is also underway to persuade Congress to overturn this action. Visit the Battle for the Internet site to send a letter to your Representatives and, if you're not familiar with the situation, have a look at this short video from Battle for the Internet. There is lots more information on the site, including a link to check your current net speed.
